Helpful Hints

Volunteer Registration

Payment
Consignors receive 70% of their sales for our Children's Sales and 60% for our Women's Sales.  Consignors are invited shop to before the public sale begins.  Checks are usually ready within a few days of the end of the sale (often available when you pick up your unsold items).

Consignor Fee
A $10 fee will be deducted from each consignor's earnings.  This money is used to help offset some of the facility fees and advertising costs.

Accepted items
Please go to our
Accepted/Unaccepted items page to see a complete list.  For accepted items for the Women's Sale, click here.

Drop-off
Items may be dropped off at the sale site during the scheduled times without an appointment.  However, if you have a lot of items or some large items with which you would like help, you may schedule a drop-off time by contacting us at
info@theclothesline.biz.

When you come to drop off your items, please bring:
     1) your tagged sale items
     2) your completed inventory sheets

Volunteers will collect your paperwork, have you sign a consignor agreement form, check-in your items, and help you distribute your items to the designated sales areas.  You will be given a pass to our consignor preview sale so you may shop before the public.   Volunteer if you want to shop even earlier!

Donating Items
Thank you for the items you donate!  Items marked "Donate" are given to local charities who benefit from your generosity.  Any item marked "Donate" will be discounted during our Half-Price Sale.

Again this fall, we will hold a Volunteer Appreciation Sale for volunteers only.  Volunteers will be able to purchase items marked "Donate: Yes" for 75% off.   (Items marked "No" for donation, will not be sold for 75% off, but will be available for sale during the Volunteer Appreciation Sale).  This is one way to encourage volunteers participation (which makes the sale more successful for everyone) and as a seller, you make a little money on the item.

Pick-up
You may pick up your items during the scheduled time following the sale.  Please do not come early because we need time to sort items for each consignor.
After that time all merchandise becomes the property of The Clothesline.  Most items are donated to local charities.

Busy Mom Services
If you are interested in consigning, but do not have time to prepare and tag your items, let us do it for you!  We will get your items ready for the sale and deliver them to the sale for you.  You receive 40% of your sales!  The deadline for this service is 10 days prior to the sale drop-off day.  Spaces are limited, so register early.

If you want us to pick your items up (tagged by you OR for us to tag), there is a flat fee of $20 for that service.

There are a limited number of spaces for these special services, so contact us to schedule as soon as possible.  Click on the
Busy Mom Services link for more detailed information.
